“Who Will Remember” This work did not arrive fully formed. It was built layer by layer through revision, resistance, and listening. The process reveals what the final image holds: paint as memory under pressure, text as interruption, fragments accumulating until meaning emerges through tension rather than resolution. Each layer records a decision, a hesitation, a reckoning. Marilyn appears not as icon, but as echo surfacing, receding, reappearing. A signal of repetition, consumption, and the cost of being seen. In the process images, her presence shifts and fractures, mirroring how cultural memory itself is revised, erased, and reclaimed.

I gathered the echoes of those who came before
Frida’s wounds,
Warhol’s noise,
Michelangelo’s devotion to form,
Van Gogh’s fevered hand, Caravaggio’s light pulled from shadow.
I did not borrow their voices.
I listened.

Who Will Remember asks not only what survives, but how it survives. The process exposes the struggle between inheritance and authorship between honoring what shaped us and refusing to disappear inside it.

Legacy is not a finished surface.
It is the courage to remain visible through change.

This is not homage.
It is communion.
